Contracts For Services (CFS)

Through the Contracts for Services Program (CFS), the Fulton County Arts Council invests public funding, in the form of contracts for services, to support the programs of Fulton County nonprofit arts, cultural organizations and municipalities. The goals of the program are to foster artistic development, to support arts services delivery, and to serve as seed money to leverage additional corporate and private dollars for arts programming.

We strive to strengthen the cultural health of individuals, organizations and communities by awarding funding to non-profit organizations whose arts programming supports the Fulton County Arts Council's mission and goals.

THE CONTRACTS FOR SERVICES PROGRAM IS COMMITED TO:

  1. Providing cultural access to the arts with an emphasis on all ages and backgrounds.
  2. Helping to stabilize local arts and culture organizations.
  3. Creating an environment conducive to the growth and development of arts organizations.
  4. Providing opportunities for individual artists.
  5. Stimulating neighborhood and community development through the arts.
  6. Fostering partnerships between private and public arts sectors.
  7. Contributing to the economic viability of the county by attracting businesses and newcomers.
  8. Encouraging the highest standards of artistic quality.

For the 2007/2008 contract cycle, over 100 service contracts were awarded to arts and cultural organizations; nonprofit and community –based groups providing arts programming; artist collectives; and municipalities that provide cultural programs to its constituents. In all, these groups are expected to reach over 5 MILLION PEOPLE through community festivals, art exhibitions, plays, music concerts, dance recitals, hands-on arts classes, and much more!
