In 1979, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners created the Fulton County Arts Council (FCAC) to enhance the quality of life of its constituents.
It is the channel through which Fulton County funds cultural services and provides access to the arts for its citizens. FCAC is both partner and catalyst in developing new arts opportunities in our area. We ensure broad access to the arts in the municipalities and unincorporated areas of Fulton County -- through community festivals, arts camps for youth, community centers, nonprofit organizations with which we partner, public art projects throughout the County and our nationally recognized, award-winning Art at-Work program that changes the lives of at-risk teens.
Fulton Arts Council Accepting Applications for ‘Contracts for Services’ Peer Review Panelists
The Fulton County Arts Council’s Contracts for Services program accepts applications year round for volunteer peer review panelists.
The panel review system provides the Council with expert, peer review and analysis of contracts for services applications. It is the first step of a four-tiered evaluation process that also includes evaluation by the staff, the Arts Council and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.
Review panels act in an advisory capacity to the Fulton County Arts Council. Panelists
- review and evaluate applications,
- deliberate on the applications according to the program criteria,
- and make funding recommendations to the Fulton County Arts Council.
Each panel is composed of artists, arts administrators and citizens with knowledge and expertise related to the discipline of the panel. The number of panelists depends on the number of applications received for the discipline category.
Professionals who represent a cross-section of relevant experience in the arts and who reflect the diversity of Fulton County are encouraged to apply. Click here for more information.
