Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating activities and environments where young children experience the power of imagination and the pure delight of learning with each other and adults.
After some 15 year as a “virtual museum without walls” that focused on collaborations with other organizations and schools, a family-friendly space in the heart of downtown Atlanta opened its doors in March 2003 as the first Children’s Museum in Atlanta.
Currently at the museum is Alice’s Wonderland, an interactive exhibit based on Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The exhibit runs from September 29, 2007 – January 13, 2008 and includes hands-on activities that make learning about math, science and literature fun for both children and adults alike!
Another exciting venture of the museum is their new Imagine It! Express, which offers a way to the Museum for those who otherwise may not have access to reliable, safe, and affordable transportation. It will be fueled by environmentally-friendly bio-diesel fuel.
