OUR STORY: THROUGH THE EYES OF JIM ALEXANDER

A solo exhibition featuring the works of iconic photographer Jim Alexander

With nearly 60 years dedicated to capturing African American life for future generations, this exhibition features 25 powerful images that encompass the diversity of Black life and culture. From the passionate spirit of human rights marches to the electrifying performances of music legends, intimate glimpses of historical public figures, and the cherished moments shared among everyday individuals who enrich our communities, this showcase reveals not just what Alexander saw through his lens, but also the profound compassion in his heart.

Event is free and open to the public. Gallery Hours, Tuesday- Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and by appointment. Gallery is closed during Fulton County observed holidays.

EDAMCC in partnership with The Obsidian Collective presents “Stirring the Arts: A conversation bridging generations for the Arts.” Join us for an interactive panel discussion on the relationships between historical and contemporary artistic practices. This panel will focus on figurative art and its impact on modern art. The panel will include artists Fabian Williams and John Glover, and Tim Short, each contributing their unique perspectives. Moderated by Hopeton S. Hibbert.
